If you are planning to apply for China visa application, you must be ensured about the category of the visa. China tourist visa is required when the purpose of visiting China is tourism or meeting family and friends. This category of visa doesn't allow you to do any kind of paid or unpaid work. In case you want to visit China for official activity, a business visa is required.

REQUIREMENT OF DOCUMENTS FOR china VISA APPLICATION

Documents Required for China Tourist Visa (L category visa)

Indian National applicant should have a passport with at least 6 months' validity and minimum 2 blank pages for visa and stamp.
Copy of biodata pages of the passport.
Old passport (if available).
Chinese visa application form duly filled and signed.
Latest clicked color passport size photograph.
Confirmed hotel booking.
Confirmed air ticket for the round trip.
If the trip is sponsored, there's a need to submit an invitation letter issued by an individual or relevant entity in China. The invitation letter should contain biodata of applicant, detail of planned travel, and detail of individual or entity who is inviting.
A covering letter that should contain all the information of the applicant and details of the intended trip.
Proof of sufficient funds available for China trip including a bank statement, fixed deposit, or other savings.
Proof of employment and income.
Groups travellers need to provide an invitation from the travel agency.

Documents Required for China Business Visa (M category visa)

Indian National applicant should have a passport with at least 6 months' validity and minimum 2 blank pages for visa and stamp.
Copy of biodata pages of the passport.
Old passport (if available).
China visa application form duly filled and signed.
Latest clicked color passport size photograph.
Confirmed hotel booking.
Confirmed air ticket for the round trip.
An invitation letter issued by a trade partner in China. The invitation letter should contain biodata of applicant, detail of business activity held in the destination country, and detail of individual or entity who is inviting.
A covering letter that should contain personal and professional information of an applicant and details of the intended trip. It should also contain the details of the entity that is inviting.
Proof of sufficient funds available for China trip including a bank statement, fixed deposit, or other savings.
