If you are intending to visit Latvia for a short period, you can apply for a Schengen visa. If you get a visa (multiple entries), you can visit other Schengen countries too. Keep in mind, you need to leave the country within the time period allotted while issuing your visa. You can enter the country again if you have a valid visa at that specified time.

REQUIREMENT OF DOCUMENTS FOR LATVIA VISA APPLICATION

Documents Required for LATVIA Tourist Visa

Visa application form fully completed and signed by the applicant.
Travel document (passport) that must have validity extending at least three months after the date of return from Latvia and at least two blank pages.
Detailed covering letter explaining the purpose of visiting Latvia.
Two recent colored photographs (35 x 45 mm) with 80% face closure and white background. Edited photographs are not accepted by the embassy.
Proof of financial means including bank account statement for the last 3 months, copy of fixed deposit (if any) for the intended stay in Schengen country.
Tax payment proofs: ITRs of last 3 years or Form 16.
Employment documents like job appointment letter, confirmation letter, NOC from an employer stating your employment information and leave for a specified period.
Self-employment or business documents.
Round trip Air Tickets that should be confirmed.
Accommodation booking for the period of your stay in Latvia.
Itinerary for the number of days of your stay.
Schengen Area Travel Health Insurance from a reputed insurance company for at least Euro 30,000.
