Indian Nationals can obtain a short- stay visa which ranges from one to ninety days, valid for all nations of the Schengen Territory which are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

  • Two recent passport-size photographs (35x45mm with 80% face).

  • Proof of funds (Bank statements, Salary Slips, Company Bank statement too for Businessmen)
  • Income Tax papers for the last three consecutive years.

  • Itinerary
  • Travel Insurance (Minimum equivalent to 30,000 Euros and should be valid for all Schengen countries)
  • Note:Additional documents or personal presence at the time of submission or after the submission may be asked by the Embassy.

Long-term Tourist Visa Checklist:

  • Passport with a validity of a minimum of 6 months along with the photocopy.
  • Copy of Passport's front and back pages.
  • Visa application duly filled.
  • Two recent passport-size photographs (35x45mm with 80% face).
  • An invitation letter from concerned authority from Malta requesting for a Visa.
  • A Covering letter from the Indian company mentioning the designation and current profile of the applicant, purpose of the visit, itinerary, name & contacts of the company in Malta
  • Proof of Occupation
  • Leave Letter from the company for salaried.
  • Proof of funds (Bank statements, Salary Slips, Company Bank statement too for Businessmen)
  • Income Tax papers for the last three consecutive years.

  • Note: Additional documents or personal presence at the time of submission or after the submission may be asked by the Embassy.
    With effect from 2 November 2015, Indian citizens requesting a short-term Schengen visa will have to appear in person to provide biometric data and a digital photograph.
    For subsequent applications within the next 5 years, the biometric data will be copied from the previous visa application included in the VFS.
